To correctly configure Second Opinion, you’ll need to point Second Opinion to the directory where your radiographs are saved.
Using the setup wizard, click "Start Configuration" to begin setup.
This will bring you to the Management Portal, where you’ll see a list of practices available for configuration.
IMPORTANT: Do not select Download Installer yet. You need to enter your office’s imaging configuration first using the Edit Office button on the left.
Select “Edit Office” for the office you wish to configure. This will open the Edit Office dialog.
Select your imaging system from the dropdown.
The fields in the dialog will vary depending on the imaging system you select. In most cases you’ll see only two available fields: 'Images Folder' and 'Image Software Usage'. If your selected imaging system requires a database connection you will see additional fields asking for database specific information; please enter that information.
In the 'Images Folder' field, enter the enter the file path for the directory where your practice's radiographs are saved.
Your image file path is often easiest to retrieve by asking the IT service that installed and configured your office radiography.
This file path must be the local file path from the perspective of the imaging server. These typically begin C:\ or D:\. If they begin X:\, Z:\, or with dual backslashes (e.g. \\SERVER\) then this is likely the correct location but from the perspective of a networked office machine.
If you are having trouble identifying the directory where you radiographs are stored, proceed to Step 2b.
If you’re setting up an office that is part of a multi-location practice with centralized image storage you’ll need to change the selection of Image Software Usage to ‘Shared Among All Offices’. In most offices this won’t be necessary.
Once the office imaging information is complete, click "Save".
Continue to Step 3.
